Race Registration
Volunteers at Race-Day Registration Table
The sun had not yet risen when the volunteers set up the tables for Race-Day Registration. The tasks included preparing packets for the runners, folding t-shirts for inclusion in the packets and distribution of drawing tickets for the post-race prize drawings.

There were two lines; one for pre-registered runners and another for race-day registrants.

Thanks to the Friends of Anastasia volunteers who had lots of experience in conducting this kind of event, the operation went smoothly and the race started right on schedule when the sun came up.

Runners have to anticipate slower times for a cross-country course, especially when there are sections in soft sand. Part of the course followed the park's main road but at least half the distance was on softer terrain. The last 200 yards back on the beach made for a tough finish.

Race Results were done by volunteers from the Ancient City Road Runners. Their crew had the complete computer-tabulated results finished in time for the awards ceremony at 9:30 a.m.
