A note from our Friends President:

On February 2, 2013, Friends Board members Rita Roberts, Diane Glass, Bob Ganley and Greg Adams represented Friends of Anastasia State Park t the Maritime Archeology Day at Anastasia State Park. It was a cool, but beautiful day. The sky was such a wonderful blue without any clouds. The sun shone on us and reddened our faces as we spoke with the visitors who stopped by to view our display. The visitors were interested in what do we do. Several seemed inclined to join us.

Rita collected money for the playground fund by selling her famous cupcakes and bottles of water. We also spoke with a Pirate who was interested in assisting us in raising funds for our playground. It is my goal this year to actually build the main playground at the Park. It has been on the back burner way too long, so this year let’s make it happen. If anyone has serious money raising ideas, please contact me. Let’s play in 2013!!!

Please remember our meeting on Tuesday, 19 February at 7pm at the Park Administration, Ranger office near the Amphitheatre.
